3D rendering

3D product rendering in San Diego.

I create photoreal 3D renders of products for brands: studio stills, 360 spins, short animations and packaging mockups. Show a product before it's manufactured, in every color, without a photo shoot.

Services

What I render

Product renders for online stores, launches, ads, trade shows and packaging approval.

Product stills

Studio and lifestyle renders of your product, including products that are still in development. Change the color, material or scene without a reshoot.

360 spins and animations

Turntables, exploded views and short product animations for ads, product pages, trade shows and social media.

Packaging and mockups

Bags, boxes, cans, labels, vehicle wraps and signage shown in 3D before anything is printed, so you can approve the design first.

Models from photos or sketches

No CAD file? I build the model from photos, measurements or sketches, using AI assisted modeling where it saves time and hand modeling where accuracy matters.

Why 3D

Why render a product instead of photographing it?

A 3D render can show a product that doesn't exist yet, in every color, from any angle, with no samples, studio or reshoots.

  • 01

    Launch before manufacturing

Build product pages, pre-sell and pitch retailers while samples are still in production.

  • 02

    Every variant from one model

One model covers every colorway, material and size, so adding a variant means a new render, not a new shoot.

  • 03

    Shots a camera cannot get

Exploded views, cutaways, floating products and perfect reflections.

  • 04

    Ready for the next campaign

The model stays ready for new scenes, seasons and ads.

Renders that match your photography

I also shoot product photography, so I light and style renders to sit next to real photos. Mixed catalogs look like one shoot, and your brand stays consistent across your site, ads and packaging.

Getting started

What do you need from me to start?

Whatever you have. CAD or 3D files give the most accurate result, but photos with measurements, sketches or a physical sample work too.

  • Logos, labels and artwork files
  • Color and finish references, like Pantone codes or material samples
  • Examples of renders or photos you like
  • Where the renders will be used, so they are sized and framed right
Process

How a 3D rendering project works

  1. 01

Free call and a fixed quote

A 15 minute call about your product, what you need rendered and your deadline. You get a fixed quote before work starts.

  2. 02

    Modeling

I build or clean up the 3D model from your CAD files, photos or sketches.

  3. 03

    Materials and lighting

Colors, finishes, labels and lighting are matched to your real product and your brand.

  4. 04

First renders in about a week

You review the first renders and send feedback.

  5. 05

    Revisions and delivery

After your changes, you get full resolution stills, animations as MP4, and transparent PNGs where you need them.

Examples

Muscle car speeding under a neon Tijuana Wraps sign at dusk

TJ Wraps: wraps shown before they are printed

For TJ Wraps, a vehicle wrap shop, I designed wraps and produced vehicle renders and mockups, so customers could see a design on their car before it went to print.

The shapes on this website

The four shapes floating on this site are 3D models I made from reference images with AI assisted modeling, then gave custom striped materials and animated in the browser.

Pricing

How much does 3D product rendering cost?

Every project gets a fixed quote after a free call, so you know the full price before work starts. The price depends on:

  • Whether a CAD file exists or the model needs building
  • How many renders, scenes and camera angles
  • Stills or animation, and how long the animation runs
  • How many colors and variants

For ongoing work, 3D is included in the Unlimited PRO plan. See the monthly plans.

Learn more about how I work and how I can help you and your business take the next step.

01Do I need a CAD file?
No. CAD or 3D files give the most accurate result, but I can build a model from photos with measurements, from sketches or from a physical sample.
02How long does 3D rendering take?
First renders are usually ready about a week after I have your files. Animations and complex models take longer, and the quote includes the timeline.
03What files do I get?
High resolution stills as JPG or PNG, with transparent backgrounds when you need them, and animations as MP4, sized for your store, ads and social media.
04Can you render packaging before it's printed?
Yes. Send the dielines or artwork and I'll show the bag, box or label in 3D so you can approve it before printing.
05Can you render my product in different colors?
Yes. Once the model is built, each new color, material or finish is a new render, not a new shoot.
