Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information jeffersonvance.com collects, how it is used and the choices you have. The site is run by Jefferson Vance, a creative based in San Diego, California. "I" and "me" below meansJefferson Vance.

The short version

• This site doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking.
• I only receive personal information that you choose to send me, like an estimate request, an email or a call booking.
• I never sell your information or share it for advertising.

Information you give me

When you request an estimate, email me or book a call, I receive what you enter: your name, email address and company, the service, budget and timeline you pick, and anything you write about your project. I use it to reply to you, prepare a quote, do the work you hire me for and keep normal business records.

When you press Send request, this website sends your details through IONOS to my professional email mailbox. Incoming messages are also forwarded to Gmail. You can contact me directly by email instead.

Information collected automatically

Like every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard logs of requests: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, the page you came from and the time. The hosting company keeps these logs for security and troubleshooting. I don't use them to identify visitors.

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare. When your browser downloads those font files, those services receive your IP address and browser details, as with any file your browser requests from another site.

I use Google Search Console to see which searches show this site in Google results. It reports totals, like how many times a page appeared or was clicked, and doesn't identify individual visitors.

To reduce spam, the contact form keeps temporary submission counters and timestamps tied to a protected hash of your IP address. These counters do not contain your name, email or project details. Entries expire after an hour and are cleared when the next request is processed.

Services that handle information for me

These companies process information on my behalf. Each has its own privacy policy.

• IONOS hosts the website, keeps its server logs and hosts my professional email mailbox.
• Google receives forwarded email in Gmail and serves fonts (Google Fonts).
• Fontshare serves fonts.
• Cal.com handles call bookings, including the name, email and time you enter.
• Stripe processes project deposits, one-time payments and monthly plans. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored by me.

Links to Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, Behance and YouTube take you to those sites, where their own privacy policies apply.

Sharing

I don't sell or rent personal information, and I don't share it for advertising. I only share it with the services listed above so they can do their job, or when the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep estimate requests and emails for as long as I need them to answer you, work on your project and keep business and tax records. You can ask me to delete your information at any time, unless I'm required by law to keep it, for example for invoices.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it or ask me to delete it. Email me and I'll respond within 30 days. If you live in California, you may have the right under California law to know, correct and delete personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. I don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Do Not Track

This site doesn't track visitors across websites, so browser signals like Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control don't change how it works.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and adults. It isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent me information, email me and I'll delete it.

Security

The whole site uses HTTPS, so information you send is encrypted in transit. I take reasonable steps to protect what I keep, but no method of sending or storing data is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I'll update it on this page and change the date at the top. For significant changes, I'll say what changed.
